Room 1429

this is a wonderful room, situated in downtown east. it faces a jacuzzi and a swimming pool.
it was clean and neat...

until... we arrived.

and turned it into a dirty, food haven for ants.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i hate to say this but things didn't turn out as we had expected. it was spirit-dampening, hope-dashing and disappointing.

first, it rained when we arrived which spoiled our plans to go to the theme park. but it was alright, coz we had a dvd to entertain us.
then the most hilarious thing happened. WE LOCKED OURSELVES OUT. still, we managed to solve that.
as staying in the room was getting a bit of a bore, so we decided to go bowling. unfortunately, the bowling centre had closed down.
we visited the arcade instead and it wasn't so bad after all. we still had fun.

next, it was BBQ time!!

once again, we bumped into difficulty again. we had trouble getting the charcoal to burn steadily. (NEVER USE LOW-GRADE CHARCOAL.)
so our food took an extensive amount of time to cook.
our awkward situation caught the attention of neighbouring barbequers (it's not a word). they were kind enough to let us use their hot, lively burning charcoal. can you imagine the embarrassment?
we enjoyed it anyway...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

with our bodies and clothes reeking of BBQ, we headed back to our room and took turns to bathe.

kok siang, zhen kang, wen hui.

we didn't sleep the whole night. at least we tried not to sleep. but some had already succumbed to their tired bodies. =3

Zzzz...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so finally it was time to check out. we packed our stuff and left the room in a mess.

we all then agreed to go bowling at bukit panjang plaza, carrying our bulky bags. excited, we travelled all the way from pasir ris to bukit panjang, only to get caught in the rain, and realising that the branch at bukit panjang plaza had closed down too. there you go. a wasted trip. imagine the devastation.

where has all the bowling centres gone? i asked myself.

yesterday, my mom and i went to marina square to celebrate her birthday. my question was answered. i spotted a bowling centre there! so i took their brochure, stating all their five bowling centres. now i won't get it wrong! i hope.
