Racial Harmony Day

My school celebrates racial harmony day by making it compulsory for all sec 4s & 5s students put on their traditional costumes. i hated that. but looking at all the fun we had...i'm beginning to think it's a great idea.

however, i saw a weird phenomenon. there were very few chinese ethnic costumes worn. the chinese population in the school outnumbers the number of other races. the proportion is just not right. i see japanese, korean, indian and malay ethnic costumes, just barely any chinese traditional costumes. my chinese teacher was complaining about it.

joey & augustin were voted the best dressed in our class. i love joey's costume man!

we also had a rangoli design competition, using coloured rice to design an image that has got to do with the indian culture. here's what my class designed. not bad huh? but there were better ones. flowers are a little easy to do.
