Curse Of the Golden Flower

i never liked shows with unhappy endings. arghh! even horror movies have happy endings, so to speak.
i watched this on dvd this afternoon. when jay chou marched in the entrance of the palace with his humongous golden army, i thought "so cool man! he's gonna win the battle!"
still, he lost and every single one of his soldier died. even worst, he killed himself! and that miserable king still holds the throne! i just hate the ending...


the movie also has its good points i guess, like the intricacy of every detail. every move, every strand of hair, every piece of costume, every furniture, every room, every sentence, every armor...maybe i'm exaggerating but i'm definitely impressed. =)
