"you cannot catch me!"

I received a police message from SPF when I was still having lessons in school. I knew immediately what it was concerning. It says "Please call 999 immediately if you see Mas Selamat bin Kastari. He is short (1.58m tall) and limps on his left leg. Thank you."
Notice the phrase HE IS SHORT. Short is a negative and rude word to be used to describe someone. Especially to those who are, fortunately or unfortunately. It is obvious they certainly have no reservations when it comes to insulting the guy. He has lost every last bit of respect he once deserved as a human being. it's a brilliant way of attacking him.
The sentence could have been put in this way, "He is 1.58m tall and limps on his left leg."
It's up to the recipient to conclude that he is, in fact, short for a guy.
Whatever it is, it sounded like criticism to me! But it could have sounded worse.

Along with the message, was a picture of mas selamat attached. maybe we're supposed to all save it as our wallpaper in our phones so we can familiarize ourselves with his sinister face. No excuse for not being able to spot him then!

ahh...and i noticed that people have been using mas selamat's escape as a joke. people start making fun of their friends identifying them as the wanted man. it's FUN!

school ended really late today, like 5.10pm. my chem teacher said she'd let us off early but it read 5.08pm on the wall clock when I was abt to leave. haha my attention span in class and lecture was surprisingly good today. It feels good when you learn something!
