LUNAR NEW YEAR

i love chinese new year visitation...you get to have fun and savour good food with friends and family. of course not forgetting ang paos!!

here's how i celebrated new year...

17 Feb
- reunion dinner @ my cousin's place: had steam boat and watched aunt tammy play the Erhu (a chinese musical instrument).

- went to chinatown with mom & dad: apparently the most irrational decision. we were packed like sardines there. thought we wanted to buy stuff there but it was too crowded to move. human jams everywhere. and we missed the fireworks coz the big fat ugly building was blocking our view. but still i think it's fun being in a human jam where u get totally stuck and immobilized...coz we dun get that often. haha it was a nice sweaty experience...

18 Feb
-the wonderful lunar new year begins...with ang pao collecting & yu sheng...

-first stop: grandma's house...was supposed to go to church in the morn but my grandma called and complained of pains arm. so we had to go down to help her wif the cooking for the visitors later. so glad aunt yvonne brought the special pineapple tarts she made...every loves them!

had my first yu sheng for the year. (ate it twice this year!) toss! toss! haha!


-went to my grandfather's place. his new house! haha.

-went to watch movie Protege with mom & dad...really great movie.

-finally, went to eat satay @ sembawang shopping centre after movie. smelled of satay when i came home.
